Genuitec and eCube Systems to Transform Legacy Systems Maintenance

08Aug2007

Genuitec, LLC, and eCube Systems, LLC, today announced a partnership surrounding eCube's NXTware Integrated Maintenance Environment (IME) for legacy platforms. This industry-leading tooling will be made available via the MyEclipse Community Essentials program, which will be freely available to all MyEclipse customers.

The Genuitec/eCube partnership bolsters both companies' reputations as leaders in the enterpriseclass tooling space. By providing both tools to prolong the lifecycle of legacy systems and development tools on the cutting-edge of technology, enterprise customers will be offered a powerful value proposition.

"The partnership with eCube gives both companies unbeatable reach," said Maher Masri, CEO of Genuitec. "The enterprise demands a two-pronged solution of both legacy systems maintenance and the simultaneous adoption of exciting new technologies. Now, in partnership with eCube, MyEclipse customers will be able to have the best of both worlds."

The eCube tooling released via the MyEclipse Community Essentials program will be provided free of charge, and will include both MyEclipse compatibility assurance and full product support in the MyEclipse support forums. Planned tooling includes releases of the NXTware IME to address CORBA, C/C++/COBOL and CICS/IMS systems.

"eCube's legacy modernization tools and MyEclipse's bleeding-edge technologies are a complimentary fit," said Kevin Barnes, president and co-founder of eCube. "We're excited to extend the reach of our tooling, and we look forward to, working with Genuitec, providing the enterprise with tools that create value in an affordable, timely and accessible manner."

The initial availability of eCube's NXTware tools, via MyEclipse Community Essentials, is slated for late August.
