Genuitec and Databorough, Inc., manufacturer of the lauded X-Analysis suite for iSeries/System i documentation and modernization, have announced a new strategic partnership. The companies will focus on a joint go-to-market strategy targeting legacy re-engineering, modernization and maintenance.
With MyEclipse Blue Edition as a showcased front-end tool suite and Databorough's extensive X-Analysis tool suite for the the iSeries market, the partnership will give consuming enterprises an unbeatable, cost-effective option for legacy modernization.
“We are very excited to partner with Databorough to create this unique marketplace combination,” said Maher Masri, CEO of Genuitec. “Their extensive experience in the legacy re-engineering space is unmatched, and we look forward to mutually benefiting from the 'one-two' punch of upgrading legacy systems and providing comprehensive, affordable, modern tooling.”
Many shops still utilizing System i technologies are finding it difficult to easily upgrade their systems to match contemporary standards. This creates problems both in technological limitations and worries about extensive monetary investment in new technologies. For over 20 years, Databorough has helped companies with these issues by helping them maximize ROI on their original investments and guide companies through a modernization process. Now, with MyEclipse Blue Edition as the targeted development tool, the joint offering between Databorough and Genuitec will provide maximum cost effectiveness and unmatched power for modernizing mission-critical legacy systems.
“By integrating MyEclipse Blue Edition into our offering, we're able to offer customers unparalleled power and choice in their migration strategies,” said Stuart Milligan, Databorough's Vice President of Business Development. “The new wave of customers needs to be able to utilize the most powerful technologies, like WebSphere, in the most cost-effective manner possible, and MyEclipse Blue Edition and X-Analysis provide that unbeatable combination.”
The partnership will be official as of November 1st, with the first availability of jointly-released products coming in Q1 of 2009.
