Any plan to support facelets ?

I have a jsp (x.xhtml) having:
<ui:composition xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
xmlns:t="http://myfaces.apache.org/tomahawk"
template="template.xhtml">
....

template.xhtml is existing (and can be perfectly opened in designer)

x.xhtml seems to not care about template.

Currently there has been very little request for Facelet support. We are working on improving the XHTML support and other fundamental technologies before looking into facelets.

Facelets Support would really be nice.

I would rather see Facelets support versus Tiles support since my team (4 of us) are moving from Struts to JSF.

I'm all about the Struts support baby! After trying to get some work done with Faces I'm about ready to rename it Feces... :P

Facelets looks really incredible on the surface, but it needs editor support ala JSP, faces-config etc. With an editor I don't think I'd ever look at a JSP ever again.

Facelets is awesome. Its achiles heel is it does not have IDE support. Exadel provides support. I got this note from my boss (client):

Quote:

Looks good. Is it supported by RAD6 or (My)Eclipse? Does it need to be supported? If so, would we need to buy Exadel in order to use it effectively?

We just got everyone trained on MyEclipse.

+40 for Facelets support!

Rick,
We do what our users tell us to do. I've just fired a message on up the chain to see what management thinks.

Yah, for us Facelets is huge. I represent an unnamed company and we're seeing around 10-20% speed improvement when running our Face's implementation and render kits over JSP. Internally we're recomending to all of our Applications Development people that they use Facelet's and I imagine our customers will follow suit if our Apps group starts using the technology.
