Why did SNAPs get removed for 6.5. Please put it back in.

Due to our short development cycle with 6.5 and focus on core feature development an inclusion into that release, we weren't able to re-include the SNAPs with the 6.5 release of MyEclipse. We are currently collecting user feedback on SNAPs for the 7.0 development timeframe however to see if there is demand to re-include them in the product as part of that install.

The workaround in the interim is to install the MyEclipse 6.0.1 release parallel to the 6.5 release to enable the SNAPs for use on your desktop files. The two releases can co-exist side by side in different directories peacefully. So any time you run a SNAP, it will run the 6.0.1 SNAP files and you can just remember to run 6.5 when you need to make use of the integrated development environment.

Ok I understand but removing something from release to release should at least merit a Note in the Release notes or the New and Noteworthy. I spent my morning reinstalling until I found this note. I even completely uninstalled my 6.01 version thinking it had caused a conflict. If you are accepting user feedback I like the SNAPs. If you get rid of them at least make it well known to avoid the confusion:)

Where can I find the 6.01 download? I can find 6.5 and 5.5.1, but not 6.01. I'm using 6.5 via Pulse but wanted to use the SNAPs.

BTW, I would like to see SNAPs available through Pulse or a separate download. Hopefully, they'll be available again with 7.0.
