MyEclipse: Web Services Project Option unavailable owengiles - Jul 27, 2011 - 12:09 PM Post subject: Web Services Project Option unavailable
Hi - I am having trouble trying to create a Web Services Project - the option isn't there when I select File -> New from the menu.
Do I need to install anything else?

Sorry that you are seeing this issue with MyEclipse.
Can you answer some more questions for me to understand the issue better ?
1) How did you install MyEclipse 8.6.1 ? Is it using Pulse/All-In-One installer/ Archived update site ?
2) Did you install any third party plugins ?
3) Did you modify / remove any features from either Dashboard tab / Software tab under MyEclipse Configuration Center?
4) I would recommend you a quick fix using pulse. Please do the following -
1. Open Pulse (Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or try - C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer\pulse-explorer.exe)
2. Login to pulse
3. Select "Eclipse - Galileo" realm from top left hand corner dropdown
4. Select "MyEclipse 8.6" from "My Profiles", right click on the same and click on [re-install and run]
5. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps
