MyEclipse: Projects marked as Conflicting Immediately after CheckOut nmb1106 - Dec 15, 2011 - 12:41 AM Post subject: Projects marked as Conflicting Immediately after CheckOut
Yesterday morning I started having an issue with MyEclipse. After I checked updated early yesterday morning I began having an issue when checking out. Immediately after I check out a project, every child in the tree of the project and the project itself are instantly marked as conflicting. However, when I try go to Team, Compare to Latest from repository, I get a dialog that says No differences found. I was using MyEclipse 9 with the Google plug-in and the subversive plugin.
I have tried the following: Project Clean, Maven Clean, Rebuild, F5, Override and Update, New Workspace, New Eclipse instance.
Have also tried to nuke every file and directory for Eclipse on this machine, ran a disk clean up, defrag, and then reinstalled Eclipse. Still marking the files as conflicting upon check-out.
Honestly I'm completely out of ideas, it has been over 24 hours of sitting on the phone with other colleagues and trying everything I know. Also, of course this would happen with our release of our new beta program next Friday! I was way ahead and now after dealing with this for 2 days, I'm way behind. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've turned down several dead ends, hopefully someone knows a trick, thank you!nmb1106 - Dec 15, 2011 - 05:56 AM Post subject:
After just about 40 straight hours of dealing with this issue we finally figured it out. Pretty simple fix but big pain if you don't know whats wrong. I literally almost reinstalled my OS we had tried so many different things.
It was simply being caused because of the out of date SVNKit that is shipped with subversive when you first install it through the download site.
Should keep this thread around for searches in the future, that was the most frustrating issue I've had with Eclipse yetsupport-tony - Dec 15, 2011 - 06:47 AM Post subject:
nmb1106,
Thanks for reporting this. I had been playing around without finding any problem and was just about to respond with some suggestions. However, that's not needed now and I'm glad you found the cause and the solution.
As an aside, subversive is not an integrated feature of MyEclipse and you might have found it more useful to ask a question on the eclipse subversion forum.
