Post subject: After installing Eclipse Indigo, unable to connect to server

I have been using Indigo for over a year, and love it for Java dev. Yesterday, my SVN server requests all were being denied. It's not a problem with my logon, as I can logon manually. When I went to update my SVN to 1.7, the Check for Updates failed with the same error (Connection refused) for all the servers it tried to contact.

I just finished a complete reinstall of Indigo, and right after installing, went to Check for Updates, and got it again

Some sites could not be found. See the error log for more detail.

Connection refused: connect

Funny, I am able to use IE and go to these sites. It's something with Eclipse that blocks connections to servers. Any ideas???

Are you using Eclipse Indigo or MyEclipse 10? If it is Eclipse Indigo, I am afraid this is not the right forum. You need to cross-post on Eclipse forums - http://www.eclipse.org/forums/

Are you behind firewall / proxy? If yes, you need to set it up here - window > preferences > general > network connections and retry.
