Hi,

what can we expect in 10.5? The roadmap seems to be quite unclear about it despite the imminent release date mentioned in another thread.

Thanks and best regards,

Robert

Rob,

New Features:
1) Spring 3.1 support
2) WebLogic 11 and 12
3) WebSphere 8.5 Beta (Blue Only)
4) WebSphere CE 3.x support (Blue Only)

Besides this we've got about 60 fixes across the product in various areas.

Thanks Brian,

So I guess it will still be based on 3.7.2.

Which version of m2eclipse/m2e will it be based on? Is it going to support the maven-antrun-plugin?

Best regards,

Robert

Robert,

1) Yes, still on 3.7.2, MyEclipse 11 will be moving to 4.2.x

2) We have not made changes to the m2e base integration, it is the same as what we've used in 10.1, m2e version 1.0. We have made a few fixes across Maven though

3) I can't say we've specifically tried the antrun plugin, I don't see why it should not work though. Is it not working for you or are you looking for specific integration with the IDE? Can you elaborate?

Thanks Brian,

I am not sure if this applies to 10.1, but I bumped into the most infamous issue with m2e 1.0 on indigo-jee-sr2, that you need to have maven plugin configurators to tell m2e that it needs to invoke a plugin in certain lifecycle phases... the usual "plugin execution is not covered by lifecycle configuration" problem, see more about it at
http://wiki.eclipse.org/M2E_plugin_execution_not_covered

Also, when is 10.5 coming (and when is 11 coming? :-) )

Thanks and best regards,

Robert
