Typically you can upgrade MyEclipse between minor release by using the Help > Software Updates > Find and Install functionality. But if you are trying to upgrade between major releases, you will need to do the following, assuming the version of MyEclipse you are upgrading to is still based on the same Eclipse version:
1. Shut down MyEclipse
2. Uninstall your current version of MyEclipse
3. Install the new version of MyEclipse
4. Restart Eclipse using the -clean command line argument
Normally, major releases of MyEclipse require a different version of Eclipse than their predecessor. In that case, we encourage following the FAQ entry that shows how to perform a clean reinstall of MyEclipse. |
