MyEclipse Team & Especially Scott/Support Team:

I’ve been pouring through these forums to take a look at whats to come, and the bugs people are having (which I only found a handful of, I’m VERY surprised at the lack of bugs to be honest, you must have one hell of a development team over there and great QA).

One things stands out in these forums… Genuitec is headed down a road called “Success” in a car with a license plate that says “Exactly what Programmers Want” doing about 90mph! Here are my comments:

    1) You changelogs and feature list read like my “Things I wish I had”, its like you read my mind, added it to your internal todo list, and did it. The rate at which you release and new features are added is absolutely fantastic.

    2) Scott your support, addressing of the issues and calm approach ALONE has convinced me to buy this product. Its a nice side effect that MyEclipse does (and will do) everything I want, but your support is just uncomparable to any other product.

    3) The community that has developed around MyEclipse is fantastic. A very polite group of professionals looking for the best product and at the same time providing feedback and help (when applicable) to help MyEclipse out. I see a lot of bi-direction back scratching and frankly I think its great.

    4) Price, Genuitec nailed this one right on the head. Its not $70, its no $50, its $30… A YEAR. I did a triple take when I saw this price, right next to the feature list of MyEclipse. This was the KEY for me, fantastic pricing.

I personally would rather wait months longer for a smoother product and keep the price down then have MyEclipse blow up with new developers, jack up its price, loose users to other open source projects or IDEs and then go out of business when the dust settles. I think probably for the last 6-8 months and the next 6-12months they will be in “Crazy mode” or Ninja mode as Scott so aptly put it but the payoff will be a huge subscriber base, loyal users and a fantastic product.

Great job guys, and thanks for the sleepless nights and long weekends. We are all right there with you!

    Best wishes,
