ejvyas,
We have not deleted any Grail related posts. Could you please clarify what post you are referring to?

Wow, people have been asking for Groovy / Grails support for 3 1/2 years and we get one "duly noted" and one "nothing yet". What's up? Java is getting a little long in the tooth.

All,

A level of Groovy support is already available to MyEclipse users. To get started with Groovy in MyEclipse you can navigate to Help > Software Updates > Find and Install... then search for "Groovy". Once you add the plugin from the catalog and restart, you'll have Groovy language support. Once you've got that perhaps the next step is to document "what else" you'd like to see on top of that to provide you the features you're specifically looking for.

hi,
Anyway to update the Groovy to the latest version (1.7.0) on the 8.0GA plugin?
The current 1.5.7 is damn old.

Please help.

Pat,

Sorry MyEclipse currently doesn't provide an integrated support for Groovy 1.7. Can you check if it is compatible with Eclipse 3.5.1? If yes, you can add it as a plugin using any of the below mentioned options -
a) unzip the plugin to <MyEclipse installation dir>/dropins
b) add as a plugin using Help > Sofware Updates > Add/ Remove Software
restart IDE and give it a shot.

Pat,

I will escalate to the management for their consideration and add to our feature tracking list. Thank you for your support.

The latest version of Groovy is 1.7.0, and Grails is 1.2.1 already.

Please update at least the Groovy, but I still hope the Grails can be integrated on 8.5.

thanks
