    Hi,
    first, thanks a lot for matisse4eclipse.
    second, how does data binding for matisse components like comboboxes, edit fields etc. work?

    Can you clarify what you mean by data binding. If you are refering to data binding libraries like the JGoodies or Fuse binding libraries, there is no support for that in M4M. If you meant something else, please clarify.

    I don’t know what mk meant, but I would like to know if ME will aid the binding of Swing components to ejb entity beans or to a jdbc resultset. A wizard that will bind the results of any ejbFind or ejbSelect method to any swing component including lists, and tables.
    Since ME is a j2ee product, it is assumed that you have included something like this for matisse.
    Hopefully;

    nat,
    No we haven’t addressed this functionality yet. THe first release of M4M was to get the Matisse designer functional inside of the MyEclipse IDE, the next steps (full stack development, result set binding, etc.) is up to management to decide. I’m not certain what the concrete plan is at this point.

    thank you, you have answered my question.

    I think JDev of Oracle is the only Java IDE which supports data binding of swing components through drag&drop of tables. The difference of course is that ADF is not open source like Hibernate in myeclipse.

    Thanks anyway.
