    I have 2 projects:
    1). A J2EE project that owns
    2). a Web project.

When I wnat to deploy, I create an EAR from the J2EE project. It puts the EAR in the server application-autodeploy directory on my hard disk (OC4J). I take that and put it in the same place on my Solaris system. Then, I start up OC4J and it deploys and everything works. What I want to do now is to have a process that goes to CVS (where all of the source ultimately lives) and creates the EAR in the right place. Help! Thanks in advance.

    Wayne,
This sounds like a Ant-script job to me (I’m assuming you want something to run on your box as well as the Solaris box to deploy the app the same way?)… in what way was this related to the MyEclipse product?

This is not a MyEclipse problem. I am looking for advice and help. I don’t think there is an error in what MyEclipse is doing. I am very happy with it. If there is somewhere else I should post a request for help and advice, I am happy to try there. I am hoping for some of the community stuff that I used to find on the myeclipse site.

    Wayne,
I think you are going to have limited help posting this J2EE/Ant deployment question to the support forum for MyEclipse ;). I don’t know off the top of my head how to do this, but will move this message to “Random Thoughts” to see if any of our users might know (or have done this).

Have you tried any mailing lists or forums related to OC4J? I think your question is quite dooable and sounds like a perfect crash-course in getting friendly with Ant.

    Wayne,

I found a thread with a guy that has done what you want with an Ant script here:

You could always contact him directly. 🙂
