Very happy with the 5.0 release but would love to see an updated roadmap on where things are going.

No, 5.0 isn’t “it”; we’ve got more stuff planned. 🙂

We’ve just been busy getting ready for EclipseWorld next week and haven’t had time to update the roadmap. The next release will likely be a large group of small enhancements and fixes (5.0.2) around the end of September or so. I don’t have visibility out farther than that, but planning is in progress on subsequent releases.

So are all the programmers just sitting around waiting ? If not, SOMEONE must know what the roadmap is. I find it very disheartening that the current work isn’t able to be quantified.

If you’re not going to update the Roadmap, can you at least remove the outdated one and replace it with a “Coming Soon” page so that I can more easily identify when the new roadmap is in place.

Well, here it is in late September and still no roadmap. I guess that gives me an opportunity to put in my $.02 worth.

I would love to see better integration with maven. Currently, when I do a mvn Eclipse:clean Eclipse:Eclipse, seems much of my “myeclipse” stuff gets wiped out (Web project capabilities, hibernate). I can live with that as I just put it back in, but would like to see a better integation.

Would like to see some support for JBoss with clusters support. Just would make my life a bit easier when we have a cluster problem.

I have a host of other items on my wish list – but these are the hot topics of the moment.

    thankx

+1 for the better Maven integration.

I can recomend the official Maven plugin http://maven.apache.org/eclipse-plugin.html
