Post subject: java.beans.Beans.isDesignTime()=FALSE at design time  PostPosted: Sep 28, 2006 - 09:28 PM

We are doing some work with customizers, and when using Matisse in design time the java.beans.Beans.isDesignTime() method return FALSE.

I believe that this is a major problem, which can be very easily addressed. Can you have this java.beans.Beans property set correctly for your earliest dot release?

I have asked someone on the Matisse team to have a look at this for you.

I believe this property should be set too.
Can you give us a short explanation of how you use it ? To shortcut some runtime code ?

When a property editor or customizer is clicked you should set this property to true to let the implementing bean know that it is running in design time.
