I'm adding this note here because of the many questions we continue to receive about where is MyEclipse 4.0 UML sequence diagram support. The official answer is that we are working to have this support available for the MyEclipse 4.1 release. We are mapping features to 4.1 milestone releases now with a schedule soon to follow. ME 4.1 GA is planned for an end of year timeframe.

When will a 4.1 milestone have sequence diagram support?

Is component diagram support planned for later release as well?

I just downloaded MyEclipse 4.1 to compare it against Rationnal RSA (formerly known as XDE). RSA s great but awfully expensive, so I am looking at what can be done with MyEclipse. I have 2 questions :
When are sequence diagram be available?Their is an announcement for R 4.1 but Icould not find them.
Is there/willthere be a API that will allow developers to automatically create classes and class diagrams (similar to RXE in XDE). Will there be a way to custom-generate Java classes from UML classes? if yes when can this be expected?
Best regards

There will not be a public API.

I have not seen any new Sequence diagram features in the 4.1GA. When will the sequence diagrams be included in the release?

Raj,
Use File > New > Other... > MyEclipse > UML > New UMR File > Give it a name, hit OK. Now switch to the UML Perspective (should be automatic) and at the top in your toolbar you should see 7 buttons for the different types of diagrams. The 3rd one over is "Sequence Diagrams", click it and your diagram mode will shift to a Sequence editor.

Hello :

I am using MyEclipse 5.0 . I could not find the option for sequence diagrams .
I created a new UMR but all I see are the options for class diagrams.

Thanks

I could see options for these diagrams cuddled up in the upper right corner of eclipse . May be you could add new diagram links to the Menu Bar so that it might be a little easier to spot. Just a suggestion!

Thanks
