The latest XFire1.2.2 in 5.1GA has so many bugs. It causes so many BAD differences from 1.1 in 5.0GA and lots of pains in service side. You really should NOT update xfire comparing its pros and cons. Xfire is a good product in general, but this 1.2.2 has so much trouble. Lots of bugs that are said fixed are still in and adds MORE.

I’m sorry to hear you’re running into issues with XFire. We did perform a few tests with the upgraded libraries but apparently we need to be more careful in the future; ordinarily there are no issues caused by minor version upgrades such as this.

I will talk to the XFire team about this; are you sure the issues you are experiencing are caused by the new libraries? If these are indeed XFire regressions can list them out here so that we can ensure that that XFire team gets them resolved?

As a workaround, you can re-configure our XFire libraries to use different JAR files by using the Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Project Capabilities > Web Services – XFire preference page and deleting affected JAR files and adding the older versions from XFire 1.1.

I apologize again for the inconvenience caused.
