IBM provides a ClearCase plug-in for eclipse. The following description concerns this plug-in. There may be other plug-ins available and, if used, the process will have to be modified in terms of the update site used.

Pull down the MyEclipse menu and click on the MyEclipse Configuration Center entry. Switch to the Software tab then clink on the "add site:" link to add the ClearCase adapter update site and fill in the dialog as shown:

If there are later version of the plug-in, that page should have a link to it.

Once the update site has been added, expand the site as shown in the Browse Software section (or search for "clearcase"). Right click on the SCM adapter and select "Add to Profile":



The Pending Changes section will show the change to add the ClearCase adapter. Click on the Apply button and answer the prompts that come up as the installation progresses:



At the end of installation, you'll be asked if you want to restart the workbench now or later. That's your choice but the plug-in won't be available until you restart. Once installed, you will see it in the Configuration Center, in the My Software section:



Leave the Configuration centre by clicking the return icon at the top right of the main panel. The plug-in can be configured via the preferences:



You can also download the plug-in from that IBM page, in which case, you will need to add the update site using one of the extra links on the Add Update Site dialog (either "Add From Local Folder" or "Add From Archive File").
