I am running MyEclipse 6.0.1 with Eclipse 3.3 on a Windows XP Professional machine. When I click the "Debug Button" the behavior I have come to expect is that Eclipse will launch in debug mode the last configured application that I created. And this is the behavior I saw when I first installed the new MyEclipse yesterday. However, today I decided to try out the HTML editor by loading a simple HTML file (with no embedded JavaScript or any other scripting language). And even though I did NOT try to debug my HTML file, the behavior of the "Debug Button" has been corrupted. Now, whenever I click the "Debug Button", there is a popup window telling me "You have chosen to debug a JavaScript application using a non-HTML file. For this file to work correctly, you most likely need to modify the URL field to be in the context of a deployed Web application before continuing with this debug launch." When I look at my list of debug launches, I still see the one that I was using before at the top of my list (it is a Java application), and when I select it from the list, the debugger works fine. But MyEclipse has gotten itself into a state where it has modified this default behavior and thinks that I'm trying to debug something entirely different that doesn't even appear anywhere on my list. I should point out that the HTML file that I previously opened has been closed; I have no other HTML files open in my view, and I am working in a Java-only environment. This behavior persists even if I shut down MyEclipse and re-load, and I don't know how to revert it back to the correct behavior. This is quite irritating and I'd like to see a fix for this ASAP.

Can you switch to a new workspace, create a new application and try using the Debug Button again. Do you still run into the same issue ?

Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me incase the problem persists.
