Situation:

* "ME Java Persistence Perspective" is active,
* "Package Explorer", "JPA Outline" views and some Java editor windows are open;
* "Link with editor" is enabled in both "Package Explorer" and "JPA Outline"

When switching between editor windows directly or by double-click in "Package Explorer", the "JPA Outline" is updated.
When switching between editor windows with single-click in "Package Explorer", the "JPA Outline" is []NOT[/b] updated.

The JPA outline view outlines the window that is open. If you double click in the Package Explorer, that file is activated and hence the JPA Outline view gets updated.

I hope I have addressed your issue. Let me know if I misunderstood your post.

Nipun, my issue is the double click. It shouldn't be necessary to double click.

If you run through the files that are open in the IDE, you will notice that when you click on a tab to activate a paticular file, the outline gets updated in the JPA outline view. To open a file, you need to double click on the file in the package explorer that the reason why a single click is not updating the view. This is expected behaviour.

you're really playing all registers to avoid recognizing this as a bug or at least "not-working-as-expected"...
As I wrote in my first post: the files are already open. Therefore it is not necessary to double click on the file names/nodes in the "Package Explorer", a single click is enough to switch the current editor to the already open file. But that editor window switch is not reflected in the "JPA Outline".
