Cannot create report. Database Explorer does not work.

I downloaded the MyEclipse 6.01 release, installed it. I selected MyEclipse Reports from the add features popup. It completed successfully and restarted myeclipse automatically.
I also created an Oracle connection and logged on successfully.

However, (1) I don’t see any data source or data set options when right mouse click on Data Explorer panel. It simply reads “A data view is not available”. (2) I added “report capability” to an existing Web Application; I then tried to create a new report, but after going through all steps in the wizard and clicking on “Finish”, nothing happens.
