We have currently Myeclipse licence. Our environment is jsf, spring, hibernate and Db2/400. we use tomcat as application server on client PC and websphere as application server in production.

In myeclipse blue, apart from using websphere as server on the client, are there any inherent advantages on migrating to my eclipse Blue from Myeclipse?

What are the differences bentween myeclipse blue and myeclipse ?

Any help is greatly apprecaited.

Thanks
kiran

The main advantages of MyEclipse 6.1 Blue Edition over MyEclipse 6.0 Pro is the following:

1. Fully automatic support(no manual deployment tasks required) for exploded and packaged deployment to 3 websphere servers 5.x, 6.0, and 6.1
2. Full support for JAX-RPC (WAS5.x, WAS6.0), and JAX-WS(WAS6.1) webservice project and wizards that can be deployed and fully supported running on WebSphere
3. Clearcase client now fully supported and works with MyEclipse EJB projects with XDoclet

Things like JSF, Struts, Hibernate, Spring are unchanged in MyEclispe 6.1 Blue as compared to MyEclipse 6.0 Pro. Tooling support for all of those frameworks is planned to be updated in MyEclipse 6.5 (Pro/Blue) next release.
