We have about 220 subscriptions for MyEclipse. Due to a strict security policy, which doesn't allow updates from outside the internal network, we cannot use your Quick Update to install for examample Matisse4MyEclipse or IceFaces. We have an internal update site for our Eclipse users where we publish updates that are checked and tested.
The latest Archived Update Site and Discovery Site on Your Download site are from october last year. Those seems to be a bit outdated. For example the Matisse4MyEclipse in the Disovery arhcive is not the latest one.
My question is when are You planning to release new Archived Updte Sites and Disovery Site? |

carinoh,
First let me thank you for the wide adoption of MyEclipse, we appreciate the support. With regard to the archived update site, we are actually entering internal QA for the MyEclipse 6.5 Milestone 1 release very shortly, and then will get that out at the beginning of May. After that we are all heads-down on getting the 6.5 release wrapped up, with any remaining technology, features, fixes and tweaks before making the final MyEclipse 6.5 GA release at the beginning of June. At that point we'll drop all new archived update sites for both the product and all the additional features.
I hope that timeline is soon enough that it doesn't slow down any development efforts for your team. If it's a major problem please PM me (using the PM button under my name) and let me know and we can discuss it further. |
