It's not a bug because it does work :)

But, I'm always questioning if I'm actually downloading artifacts. At one time, I didn't set up my proxy config in Eclipse and I waited a long time then it just stopped. I think it would be good if I can see what artifacts I'm downloading through "console" view.

Actually, you can:
1. Console view can show "Maven" console (I attached a screenshot of the selector).
2. Progress view will show current process including the percentage of the file that is downloaded.
