jcaruthersjr,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you answer few queries for me to get to the root cause?
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
2. If you cannot get the above, can you list what is your OS, its version
3. What is the 3rd party plugin you are trying to add?

You are hitting dependency issues. Typically downloading the new Pulse installer and running it twice will recover broken Pulse Explorer installations. You can also use --repair on the installer to force a clean install. If that doesn't help. I would recommend you remove the 3rd party plugin and re-install and run.
