I've been doing new development in a new MyEclipse4Maven project
I'm using the Subversive plugin v2.2.0.I20090505-1500 (not Subclipse)
So, my naive approach of checking out a Maven project was:
Find/Check Out -> Check out as a project configured using the New Project Wizard
and selecting a new Java Maven Project. However, the New Java Maven Project Wizard skips the entire checkout process and just creates an empty project from scratch. I kind of figured this would happen since the new Java Maven Project wizard forces you to type in Maven artifact coordinates manually for your new project.
Next, I tried checking out the project into a regular Java project, but then I could find no way of "turning on" Maven4MyEclipse on the project. I found another post in the forums that suggested I check out the Maven project into a regular Java project and then importing the source files (via File System) into a new Java Maven Project.
But, now - the entire project is disconnected from Subversion. So, that's not workable.
So, is there a recommended way of checking out a Maven project from SVN that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Andy |
