Greetings

I can't wait to get my hands on MyEclipse 7 but for me to install it I need it in the Archived Update Site format. Does anyone know when that distribution will be available?

Thanks
troy

Troy,

We aren't going to do one for M1, *maybe* M2, but certainly with GA. We just try and scope down the less stable releases to certain installs because it's A) easier for us and B) keeps users safer incase there is some epic bug we missed.

Anyway, I expect you can just do the following:

1. Move the extension directory (<myeclipse7.0m1root>/eclipse/dropins/myeclipse) out from under the installed directory, and put it into a common place, similarly to how the manual install was done before 6.5.

2. Afterwards you just create a myeclipse.link file in the dropins folder of any Eclipse 3.4 installation containing the following:

Code:

path=absolute-path-to-the-moved-myeclipse-directory-with-forward-slashes

Best regards,

Robert
