I get an error when committing changes after upgrading to 6.5: I never created a branch in my cvs structure. I am not sure where or why the local files are getting these tags.
The server reported an error while performing the "cvs commit" command.
RGWeb: cvs server: sticky tag `1.5' for file `src/com/gibsontube/util/GibsonTubeProperties.java' is not a branch
RGWeb: cvs [server aborted]: correct above errors first!
When I look at the files in the package explorer they have strange looking version numbers. instead of (myFile.java 1.5) the have (myFile.java 1.5 1.5).
I even tried pulling the project fresh from cvs and these tags somehow appear and I cannot commit changes. |

invantix,
We don't instrument the base CVS Team support from the Eclipse platform in any way... maybe you could flip to the CVS perspective and navigate your way down into your repo and see what is going on, maybe check the Branches and Tags for that project and see if one was accidentally created? |

Everything was fine until I upgraded MyEclipse to 6.5. There are not tags or branches.
There are no tags in the CVS reporitory. I checked as you suggestedm. In fact the error message complains that the tag does not exist. For some reason the IDE shows that there is some kind of "stick tag". Since the tag does not exist I cannot chek things in. Is there something I can do on the client side to eliminate these false tags. They are definately on the client side.
Again, everthing was fine until I upgraded to MyEclipse 6.5. Nothing changed on my CVS server.
Thanks |

invantix,
Did you navigate to the Window > Preferences > Team > CVS preferences and double check that they might have changed?
The other thing to check is to navigate to Help > Software Updates > Manage Configuration and check if there are any error markers on any of the plugins... you might have a corrupt install. |
