One of the benefits that ICEfaces has touted is the push technology enabling updates to be view immediately through Ajax on other systems. After completing the ICEfaces tutorial, I tested updating the names on two different computers. The changes that were made on one computer were not seen on the other unless the refresh button was clicked. Is there additional configuration necessary, or is there something that I am missing? |

You'll have to double-check with the ICEfaces folks on that one, I think it actually requires use of a different service on the server side that pushes the updates to the client. Sorry can't be of more help, just not versed enough with the ICEfaces APIs. |

Thank you for your response. There was additional configuration in web.xml and faces-config.xml and managed bean. I was able to figure it out by following the Time Zone tutorial in ICEfaces getting started manual.
Thanks again,
