I'm trying to use a java data source in a myEclipse report project. I'm going through the example here:

http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/examples/scripting/scripteddatasource/#introduction

The flash example says, "Verify that the code tab is selected". It shows "Layout", "Preview" and "Code" as the three views.

Can I get access to the "Code" view in myEclipse? I can't see it.

I have asked the dev team to look into this issue. They will get back to you with a reply asap.

Thanks. Unfortunately I also need to use JNDI, so it looks as if I'll need to try my luck installing the BIRT plug-in. Maybe next time!

Rats, I just see I can't do that for MyEclipse 7.0. My DBA won't approve my deploying an app in production with no connection pooling, for which I need JNDI.
New plan is to regress to version 6.6 before installing BIRT separately.

cusdx,

I'm sorry for the delayed response; the demo you saw was created by an older version of BIRT than MyEclipse currently ships; you will notice that our designer has many more tabs. The Code page in the flash demo you saw is the same as the Script page you can see in our report designer, only the name has changed.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you need further assistance.

Brian,

Thanks for your reply. That's good to know. Can you confirm that I still can't use a JNDI with MyEclipse Reports?
