    Hello myeclipse,

I have a couple of workspaces and within each workspace there is a subdirectory “.metadata/.plugins/org.maven.ide.eclipse/” and that directory is about 90MB big.
I can understand it takes space when I am using Maven, but that’s not the case!

It doesn’t make sense to increase the disk usage of the workspace up to about 25% for a feature which I’m not using.

Why is that and what can I do to stop it?

    Diederik,
You can go to Windows > Prefs > MyEclipse > Maven4MyEclipse > Maven “Download repository indexes on startup”. That should prevent the files from being downloaded.
