Post subject: Urgent : Myeclipse installation problem

My current myeclipse for corrupted do i tried doing following:
1. I deleted the myeclipse home directory
2. I tried re installing by executing the installer and got following error
"Error preparing Installer"
Please provide your input if anyone has faced similar situation.
I currently have ganymade version installed on my system. |

neerjam,
Can you answer few queries for me to understand your current configuration -
1. How did you install ME? - used all-in-one installer to download/using pulse explorer/installed eclipse classic 3.4.1 and added MyEclipse plugin.
2. If you have installed using all-in-one installer, can you verify the file size and md5sum?
3. Can you check if you have pulse? You can find it under Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer. If yes, open pulse explorer, click on My Profiles. Select the installed MyEclipse. Right click on MyEclipse and click on [Install and Run]/[Re-install and Run]. Pulse takes care of resolving conflicts and in case the download is not complete, it resumes the download of MyEclipse from where it has stopped. In case you don't have pulse, you can also download from www.poweredbypulse.com
4. What is your version of Ganymede. I presume you are trying to install MyEclipse 7.1.1, it is based on Eclipse 3.4.1. |
