    Hi,
I am very new to java and MyEclipse. (Just 2 weeks of reading)
I am trying to do some AJAX calls to a servlet.
The page is running on the myEclipse tomcat. I can access from all other browser. But i get a a default dns error saying it can’t find the the page in browser 2.0.

I can access google etc from the browser, just not the tomcat server.

    Thanks

    Dave

    Dave,

Can you answer few questions for me?
    1. Can you copy and paste your installation details here for me? You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
    2. How did you install MyEclipse meaning – (i) have you downloaded all-in-one installer from MyEclipse download site/ using pulse installed ME/installed base eclipse and added ME as a plugin?
    3. What is the browser 2.0 you are referring to? Is it IE/Netscape/Firefox/Safari….?

I would recommend you to start tomcat and on your browser type – http://localhost:8080 and see if you can see the default tomcat browser?
I would suggest you to play around with example projects available in ME. To do this – open MyEclipse start page. You can click on MyEclipse > MyEclipse Start Page.Click on [Example Projects]. This will open Examples on-demand browser. Install GoogleMapsExample project by clicking on [Install Project]. I would recommend you to read through the README.txt file on how to run this sample example.
