I have been successfully using myeclipse for some time. Overall, the product has been meeting my needs. Recently, I upgraded to 7.5 and have noticed performance is substantially slower than earlier releases. Specifically, when I have a JSP open, switch to another file (say a JAVA file) and then try to switch back, CPU on the machine spikes and it is several seconds before the JSP file displays. This is unacceptable as this is a common operation. My machine runs a 2.8 GHz which should be plenty for this type of work.

Moreover, support has gone down. I do not post often but in the past, I have always gotten quick replies, even if more information is requested. I have a post in the Reports section that remains unaswered [a bad bug which should’ve never happened in the first place].

So in summary I feel performance of the product has waned and performance of support has slowed.

Anything you can do to address these issues would be appreciated.

We have made a drastic improvement in the performance of the IDE in 7.5 and we have had users who have given us a positive feedback to confiirm the improvement in performance. The slow performance of 7.5 could be an issue related to the workspace or your project which we will try and trouble shoot right now.

How many projects do you have in your workspace? How big are these projects. Have you tried working with a new workspace? Does the performance issue persist in the new workspace as well.

Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.
