We have many Mac users who need to develop Portlets. I know there is no WebSphere for Mac, but Portlets can be deployed on Tomcat and JBoss, so it would be wise to include this feature so we don't have to look elsewhere for portlet support.

ME 8.5 supports portlets. Can you take a look at this http://www.myeclipseide.com/documentation/quickstarts/portlet_overview/ and give it a shot?
