    Multiple people were asking about external preview in eclipse 3.0. I had the same question and went ot the eclipse site. Here’s a post (not mine):

    (Unfortunately, I have tried those steps and I got a “Connection Refused”. I guess I will still have to post there as well…)

    Use the install wizard (Help>SoftwareUpdates>Find and Install..) try
    installing the browser view from
    http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/platform-update-home/temp/browserSite

    (get the latest version)

    Bjorn,

    Thanks for the pointer. Actually, we had already found that example and are porting it to M9, enhancing it, and packaging it with the next release of MyEclipse 3.8 Beta 1. So, if you can hold on a few days, you’ll have it.
