When I upgraded to version 8.5 I lost some functionaility:
select an xsd file
right-click
select Myeclipse
what happwened to "generate XML" ????

I read some forum posts, where I was guided to turn on WTP Extras to get that functionality. I did and *BAM* lost the menu all together:

select an xsd file
right-click
no Myeclipse menu!!!

Now I have a Generat XML menu option, but no MyEclipse menu, so I can't validate the XML.

So I went back and turned off WTP extras, but the menu did NOT come back!!!

How do I get the MyEclipse menu on right click AND the ability to Generate XML form an XSD?

Edward,
Can you start your workspace using -clean as mentioned in the link below -
http://myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-10280.html
Also, can you switch to a new workspace and check if the issue persists?

Edward,
I am afraid, you should enable WTP extras for that. Can you try enabling WTP extras again?
The following are the steps -
1) Go to Window > Preferences > General > Capabilities and click Advanced.
2) Expand MyEclipse Standard Tools and check "WTP Extras".
3) Click OK to close the preference dialog.
4) Right click on your project, now you should see Generate > XML File from the context menu.
Let me know how that works for you.

That seemed to work this time, allowing both the MyEclipse menu and Generate menu to coexist.

Thank you for the help.
