PDT not working with MyEclipse 8.6

Everytime I try to open a simple .php file I get a ClassCastException, StructuredContentAssist

I can't open any .php file. Either newly created or previously existing.

I installed the PDT that is under the MyEclipse browse section in pulse. The 2.0 version would not install, there were tons of dependency errors.

I'm bailing now and trying phpeclipse instead, though I've heard PDT is much better.
