I’m running MyEclipse 8.6 and added “BIRT framework”. I was following a BIRT tutorial at http://www.eclipse.org to learn how to use BIRT. Everything was going pretty well until I tried to test the report when I received the error below. Please note that the path to “derby.jar” on my work station has a different version number as follows: C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Common\plugins\org.apache.derby.core_10.5.1.1_v20100129\derby.jar. I’ve been unable to find any file that specifies the path shown below and no references to a similar issue in my Google searches. Any assistance will, of course, be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

(Error: Unable to locate JAR/zip in file system as specified by the driver definition: C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Common\plugins\org.apache.derby.core_10.3.1.4\derby.jar.) BIRT SampleDb Derby Embedded Driver20 Driver Problems

Can you do the following –
    1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Servers > Integrated Sandbox > MyEclipse Derby
    2. On the right hand pane, click on [Restpre MyEclipse Derby Server] and [Restore Sample Database]
    3. Click on [Apply] and [OK]
Let me know how this works for you.

Followed your directions and got messages that both server and database had been rebuilt, but getting error about the Derby driver as follows:
ERROR: net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.fw.sql.SQLDriverManager#error : Unable to find Driver Class org.apache.derby.jdbc.AutoloadedDriver for JDCB driver MyEclipse Derby
This time I tried Debug(ging) it.
