Hi,

I tried to reverse engineer JPA from MySQL database.
While processing the MyEclipse IDE threw an error: An internal error occurred during: "Generating Artifacts".
java.lang.NullPointerException

And wouldn't finish generation.

I cannot see anything in the eclipse log. Where shall I look? What is wrong?
I use latest MyEclipse 9, I tried the same in MyEclipse for Spring with the same result.

best regards,
Martin

Martin,

1) Can you go through the following link and check if it is related -
http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-16256.html

2) Which operating system are you running on and the version of JDK you are using ?

3) Check your log file located at: <workspace dir>\.metadata\.log and look near the bottom of the file to see the exception message that has occurred. Paste the full error message here.

4) Also send me the details about the database version and jdbc driver version and vendor.

5) Can you also recheck the steps you followed for RE ? Here is the tutorial for JPA reverse engineering :
http://www.myeclipseide.com/documentation/quickstarts/jpa/
