I am experiencing random JVM crashes. Crash report link: http://pastebin.com/e5jzW0M9

    Myeclipse.ini settings:

    #ansi (do not remove)
    -startup

    –launcher.library
    ../Common/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.gtk.linux.x86_64_1.1.1.R36x_v20100810
    -install
    /home/edward/MyEclipse/MyEclipse 9
    -vm
    /home/edward/MyEclipse/Common/binary/com.sun.java.jdk.linux.x86_64_1.6.0.013/bin/java
    -configuration
    /home/edward/MyEclipse/MyEclipse 9/configuration
    -vmargs
    -Xms1024m
    -Xmx1024m
    -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
    -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=64m

    Java version:
    java version “1.6.0_24”

Looking at the logs, could it be to do with running out of perm gen? I’ll try increasing it to 512m. It should be pointed out though that the default myeclipse.ini memory settings are not sufficient for a clean install! I’ve already increased the Xms and Xmx properties from 512m to 1024m.

    tarski,

Sorry that you ran into this issue with MyEclipse.

    1) Can you recall any specific actions or working with any specific editors around the crash ?

    2) Are you using any of the visual designers?

    3) I suggest upgrading to MyEclipse 9.1, our recent release which fixed notable memory issues. Here is the link for more information on how to upgrade :

Let us know how this works for you.
