David FidenParticipantHello,
I keep getting a org.eclipse.swt.SWTError: No more handles error message and I have to close MyEclipse. I don’t think it’s really a memory problem since it occurs not too long after reboot. Can anyone help me fix this?
Thank you.
EDIT:
I also noted this error, which seems dire:
org.eclipse.ui.PartInitException: Warning: Detected recursive attempt by part com.genuitec.eclipse.webdesigner3.editors.jsp to create itself (this is probably, but not necessarily, a bug).
support-joyMemberdafiden,
org.eclipse.swt.SWTError: No more handles error message
I am afraid, you are running into an eclipse bug, please refer – https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=348752
MyEclipse would include the fix whenever eclipse comes out with a patch release.org.eclipse.ui.PartInitException: Warning: Detected recursive attempt by part com.genuitec.eclipse.webdesigner3.editors.jsp
Please refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/changing-context-root/ Could you clarify if you see the same issue. User reports a re-install fixed above issue. You could try the same.
David FidenParticipantThe first one is not the same issue I am having since my workspace can be reopened.
As far as the second one, I’m not sure. I ran a -clean option and it may have helped, but I’m still getting more errors. Do you know anything about the pulse download? Can I simply reinstall MyEclipse without this pulse thing?
Since trying the -clean option, I still get these errors repeatedly:
Unhandled event loop exception: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread
Error occurred during status handling: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread
I don’t think I should be out of memory since I recently increased myeclipse.ini to
-vmargs
-Xmx1024m
-XX:MaxPermSize=512m
-XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=128mNOTE: I am using java 1.5.0 on my machine.
support-joyMemberdafiden,
Apologies for the late reply. I need more information from you to investigate the OutOfMemoryError. Please provide below details –
1. Copy and paste your installation details. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details
2. Clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log, replicate issue and copy and paste relevant details here
3. Please include what are the steps taken by you which results in the OutOfMemoryErrorIf you would like to install ME without pulse, I would recommend you try our offline installers. Open http://myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-4.html , accept license agreement and click on the [download] link. This will redirect you to the next page with options to download. Click on [Download]. This will download the offline installer.
Let me know how this works for you.
Best
