viswamy2k,

To update plug-ins, open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center. Go to Dashboard tab. Select the plugin to be updated under "Updates Available". Click on [Apply x changes] under "Pending Changes" and follow the wizard. When prompted please choose to restart the IDE.

viswamy2k,

Please clarify -

. Are you referring to plugins added via dropins or are you referring to archived update site?

The best way to add plug-ins is via update site. This would enable updates to be visible under Dashboard tab of MyEclipse Configuration Center.

In case you have chosen dropins / archived update site / add local update site, you need to manually update the plug-ins. Meaning remove the existing plugin and add updated plugin and restart the IDE.

Hope this helps.

Hi Joy,

We are not using the dropin's folder and we are doing using the MyEclipse Software updates only.

viswamy2k,

You have still not clarified, if you have used update site / archived update site / local site? In case you have used update site, you could use the MyEclipse Dashboard to update as I have clarified above. In case it is either archived update site / local site, you need to remove the plugin and add the updated plug-in.
