We are migrating from RSA6 to MyEclipseBlue8.6 and we have issues while importing .emx to uml2. Folllowing steps are taken. Please let me know the fix.

1) Login to MyEclupseBlue8.6 with Pulse
2) Select any workspace project folder from project explorer
3) Goto File-->Import-->UML2-->IBM Rational EMX and hit next
4) Hit Browse button for "EMX file" field to select .emx file from RSA6 workspace project
5) Hit Browse button for Destination field to select destination folder in MyEclipseBlue8.6 workspace project
6) Hit finish
7) Error: "An internal error occurred during: "Generate MyEclipse UML2 Model from Rational 7 UML2".
org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xml.type.impl.AnyTypeImpl cannot be cast to org.eclipse.uml2.uml.Model"

akram_fugen ,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue with MyEclipse.

Can you answer some more questions for us to investigate further ?

1) Can you share your Build ID from Help > About MyEclipse Blue Edition > Build ID? Paste the Build ID here.

2) Can you clarify if the EMX file is from RSA 6 or RSA 7 ?

3) Clear the contents of the .log file which is located at <workspace dir>/.metadata/.log. Replicate the issue and copy paste the entire contents of the .log file for us.

4) Can you also send us the problematic EMX file? Email: support@myeclipseide.com ATTN Swapna
