Hey,

I'm using ireport to create some reports. I place the report files in a sub-folder of WEB-INF.
This works but I need to refresh that folder manually so the update will also be available in tomcat. So I need to go to that folder right mouse click and then hit refresh.

Is theire another way to accomplish that? I prefer an automatic update when I change or add a file. If that is not possible is there a quicker way?
Create a shortcut that refreshes a specific folder?

I 'm using myeclipse 9 with tomcat 7.

Thanks in advance,

Greets

Rien

Rien,

Could you please elaborate what you have done and what is it you are trying to achieve. Please answer below queries -
1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and copy and paste the same here
2. Elaborate the steps to help me understand what you have done and try to reproduce the same at my end
3. A sample project would help me quickly replicate this issue. In case you cannot attach the project here, please send a mail to support@myeclipseide.com with the project attached, add the above weblink for quick tracing and add ATTN:Joy in the subject
4. Elaborate what you are referring to as automatic update when you change a file? What is the type of file you are trying to modify? Are you modifying the file on debug mode?
5. Include screenshot to help me get a visual of what is currently available and what you are trying to do, which is not available.

If you create or edit a file from within eclipse in the webroot/WEB-INF directory the file in the deployed server will be automatically updated.

If you create or edit a file outside eclipse. You need too browse to that folder in eclipse and do a refresh before the updates are also on the deployed server.

It would be nice to do this quicker.

To reproduce.
Create a new webproject test and deploy this as an exploded type.
Create a file in eclipse and this will also be available on the deployed server.
Do the same outside eclipse and you need to do a refresh.

Rien,

Sorry for the delayed response. I am afraid this feature is not available. You need to refresh your project to see the changes.

Have you seen this feature in any other IDE? If yes, can you name such an IDE?
