I can not create/see the Relationship Routing line as on your tutorial.
    see only the diagram.

    ayc868 ,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue with MyEclipse. I could not replicate the issue at my end.

Can you answer some more questions for us ?

    1) Can you share the Build ID from Help > About MyEclipse Enterprise Edition > Build ID ?
Also share your Operating System and version details.

    2) Clear the contents of the .log file which is located at <workspace dir>/.metadata/.log , replicate the issue and check if there are any errors logged in the .log file. If yes then paste them here for us.

    3) Please attach a screenshot of the issue for us to help get a visual.

    ayc868,

From your screenshot, it appears that none of your tables have foreign keys. It is the foreign keys that define a relationship in the database.

If your tables do have foreign keys, could you please reproduce the problem with just two tables that have a relationship between them? If you reproduce the problem, please provide the DDL for the two tables so that we can try to recreate the problem here. Also, please state the database that you are using and whether it is local or remote.

From your log file, it looks like you are running on Windows XP, is that correct? If so, are you at SP3?

    ayc868,

Thanks for that. So you are running the 32 bit version of MyEclipse on Windows 7, is that right? Also, please provide the information I asked for in my last post, if you wish us to investigate this issue.

    ayc868,

If you’re referring to the workspace log, it will still be in the .metadata folder under the workspace folder. If it is not there, it means that there have been no errors or warnings to report since you last cleared the log (or since you created the workspace, if you’ve never cleared the log).

    ayc868,

We’d like to help sort out your problems with MyEclipse but the problem you report seems to change with every post.

I’m not sure, now what problems are outstanding. Your latest post appears to suggest that the problem occurs when creating web projects, under some circumstances but your previous post seemed to be about startup problems.

If you are having different problems, it would be useful to create separate forum topics for them. This topic is about “ER Diagram Routing” but you’ve mentioned problems that don’t seem to be about that topic.

When creating a new topic for a problem, please give as much detail as possible about the problem and the steps to recreate it. It would also help us if you cleared your log file, recreated the problem and then attached the full log file.

let’s focus the ER Diagram Routing

Why it do not show up the link? – even I upgrade to MyEclipse 10.

By the way, why it take so long to response – response once a day

    ayc868,

OK, concentrating on the UML problem, please provide the information requested in this post. For you convenience, I repeat the relevant piece of the post below:

If your tables do have foreign keys, could you please reproduce the problem with just two tables that have a relationship between them? If you reproduce the problem, please provide the DDL for the two tables so that we can try to recreate the problem here. Also, please state the database that you are using and whether it is local or remote.

From your log file, it looks like you are running on Windows XP, is that correct? If so, are you at SP3?

If you can’t reproduce the problem with two tables, you can provide the DDL for all of the tables. You can attach files here using the “Add and Attachment” section below the area you write your reply.

Sorry that you’re not getting responses as quickly as you’d like. We have on-line support staff in various locations and unfortunately, their work times do not always overlap with the work times of our users.
