Post subject: Unable to run “EJB Deploy” MyEclipse 10 WAS 7.0  PostPosted: Jan 09, 2012 - 09:09 AM

Hi,
I just started using MyEclipse blue.
I have a project that was developed using regular MyEclipse.
I opened the project in MyEclipse blue and setup the server profile.
When trying to run “EJB Deploy” I am getting the following error:

Code:

EJB deploy failed
Error while processing project GPPBackEnd: com.ibm.etools.rmic.RMICException: RMIC Command returns RC = GPPBackEnd. The problems which stopped RMIC are displayed, and have also been recorded in the .log file in error: An error has occurred in the compiler; please file a bug report (http://java.sun.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi).
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.apache.log4j.PropertyConfigurator
   at com.fundtech.util.logger.LogFactory.reloadConfigurationFiles(LogFactory.java:392)
   at com.fundtech.util.logger.LogFactory.<init>(LogFactory.java:255)
   at com.fundtech.util.logger.LogFactory.initialize(LogFactory.java:95)

Attached Installation Details.

This is quite urgent as I am unable to proceed with development.
[/code]

Ronen,

EJB Deploy is only required if you wish to use our in-workspace deployment. If not, you do not need to run EJB Deploy in the workspace. I would suggest changing your server profile configuration to use the classic or enhanced deployment for now.

We will respond with additional questions for EJB Deploy shortly, so we can figure out what the problem there is.

Ronen,

Please let me know how exactly log4j is contributed to classpath. Preferably the content of .classpath file of the project.

Also, is your project located inside your workspace (on hard drive) or outside of it?

Best regards,
Denis.
