I searched the forums but couldn't find any discussion of this. I find that frequently the line numbers do not scroll with the text/code being editted. Turning off and on the line numbers option will set the displayed line numbers to the correct numbers, but will not start them scrolling. I went through the log file, but didn't see anything that looked relevant to the problem.
I'm running Version: 10.0, Build id: 10.0-20111028, on a MacBook Pro with an up-to-date copy of Lion.
Thx! |

noefingway,
I am sorry to hear you are running into this issue. I am afraid, I could not replicate this issue. I shall escalate to dev team members to assist you with this issue. Could you provide below details to help investigate further -
1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and copy and paste the same here
2. What is the editor you are using?
3. What is the type of file you have opened?
4. Could you attach screenshot to help me get a visual? |

noefingway,
In addition to the information that Joy asked for, please elaborate on what you mean by "frequently". Is there a sequence of actions that will always result in this problem? I've tried it on Lion and can't replicate your problem, so we'd need more information to try to track this down.
If it's related to this bug in eclipse, you might want to add a comment there as there appears to be a patch which has not been applied to the base code, for some reason. |

I'm editing Java code. I haven't been able to find any particular cause for this behavior. I've attached a couple of screen shots where you should be able to see that when scrolling the edit screen the line numbers haven't moved between the screen caps. If I turn line numbers off and back on, they will show up reflecting the correct file position, however they are still not scrolling with the text in the edit window.
Here's the info you requested.

Tony,
It is probably related. I'm using a second monitor.
I'll post a comment on the eclipse thread.
