I've been looking at using xsd to generate xml and java files.

There are many references on the web (e.g. http://www.twm-kd.com/programming-computers/generating-sample-xml-from-xsd-or-dtd-in-eclipse/) which say that in Eclipse you can right mouse on an xsd in the navigator and there should be a generate option. My fellow developers with vanilla eclipse have this, but I don't see this in ME10.

I tried installing some likely plugins related to xsd and xml, but nothing helps.

I did try creating an EMF project and within the .genmodel editor there are some generate options, but this requires a separte EMF project.

Any idea how to get the xsd generate option?

Thanks,
-- Frank

Frank,

Go to Window -> Preferences -> General -> Capabilities. Click on the Advanced button. Expand “MyEclipse Standard Tools” and check the WTP Extras capability.

This should give you the right-click "Generate > XML File..." menu item.

Let us know how it works for you.
