Post subject: MyEclipse10 Debug Mode Not Working  PostPosted: Feb 21, 2012 - 07:16 AM

I am running MyEclipse 10.0 on Ubuntu 11.04. When i try start up my Tomcat server in Debug mode it comes up with the following error.

Error Starting MyEclipse Tomcat Server : Cannot connect to VM.

When i run tomcat it works fine. Only debug mode doesnt work.

Kudzie04,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Please provide below information to help me investigate further -
1. Please confirm if debug was working previously. If yes, have you made any changes let us say - network related or installed any new plugins recently?
2. If you are behind firewall / proxy, ensure you have configured the same here - window > preferences > general > network settings
3. If you have added any third party plugins, list the same here with details of update sites / weblinks to download the plugins
4. Clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log, replicate the issue and attach file here
5. Copy and paste myeclipse.ini file. Refer - http://myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-27743.html for location of files and folders
